For over 15 years, our family has shared the joy of Christmas through a carefully curated collection of ornaments, each chosen to bring warmth and meaning to homes during the holiday season. When Hurricane Helene devastated our community in Swannanoa, we faced unimaginable loss. As floodwaters rose, we evacuated with our two children, our dog, and the hope that we could rebuild. The storm swept through our neighborhood, leaving destruction in its wake.

Our inventory was stored in a small shed on our property, and we assumed it was gone. But upon returning, we found the shed miraculously lodged in a tree, as though gently placed there by the storm. Even more astonishing, an entire wall of ornaments inside remained untouched—still hanging neatly in their places. The floodwaters had flowed through the shed at just the right angle to leave them undisturbed.
